Commercial Services

Trusted on your site, from first plans to handover

You've got a program to keep on track, drawings to work from and a reputation that depends on the trades you bring in.

We slot in cleanly, quote off plans and deliver to architect or engineer specs without needing to be chased. From the first email through to handover, you'll know who's on site, what's happening next and where the job sits in your program.

Licensed and credentialed

Synergy is fully QBCC-licensed and carries the public liability, contract works and project-specific insurances commercial work requires. All installers hold current white cards, with blue cards on hand for school and childcare projects, plus SWMS and site induction compliance ready to go.

Crew with capacity

We've built a team big enough to run multiple commercial jobs in parallel without spreading thin. That means we can move quickly when you need us to, slot into a tight program and meet your handover dates without delay.

Cool under pressure

Commercial sites move fast and plans shift halfway through. We deal with it calmly, communicate the impact early and find the way forward, not the reason to push the date.

Your timeline first

Your program drives ours. We work to your install dates, coordinate with the trades around us and don't sit on quotes that hold up the rest of the build.

Commercial Fencing

A commercial fence is a working part of the site. It defines boundaries, restricts access, meets compliance and shows up in progress shots, often well before the rest of the build is finished.

We build the full range, including chain mesh, Colorbond, colonial and heritage, security fencing (Heracles) and industrial gates with automation. Every fence is quoted off your plans and built to specification, with our supervisor on site to keep everything on program. We handle the practical side too, including timing the install to suit the rest of the trades and keeping the site tidy on every visit.

Commercial Retaining Walls

Commercial retaining walls do real structural work. They hold back the slope, support the load above and need to be built exactly to the engineer's specification, with the paperwork to prove it.

Every Synergy retaining wall is quoted off the engineer's table and built to council requirements, with photos documenting every stage from holes dug to backfill done. The engineer signs off the footings before any posts go in, which keeps everyone covered down the line. Concrete, pine, hardwood or super sleepers, steel posts and timber, we'll build to whatever the spec calls for, including jobs over a metre that need full approvals.

Commercial Retractable Seating

Retractable seating is one of the most specialised jobs we do. The systems we install are engineered to the highest standards, with components built to handle thousands of cycles without compromising on alignment, finish or safety.

Whether the project is a small school hall or a major stadium, we approach every install with the same crew, the same craftsmanship and the same standard at handover.

If you've got a project that needs retractable or stacked seating installed, we can talk through scope, timelines and what's possible from the manufacturer's spec.

What else we offer

Landscaping

A new fence often highlights how tired the rest of the yard has become. We can help bring the surrounding space up to scratch, including turf, garden beds, planting, pathways and the practical landscaping that makes a backyard feel finished, not just fenced.

Garden makeovers

For bigger projects, we can take the whole garden back to a blank canvas. That means clearing what isn't working, reshaping the layout, and rebuilding it around how you actually want to use the space, whether that's kids' play areas, entertaining zones or something low-maintenance.

Painting, inside and out

Whether it's a quick interior refresh, a full exterior repaint, or finishing a new timber fence with the right stain and protective coat, we can take care of the lot. Same crew, same care, same standard of prep and finish from inside out to the boundary line.

Becoming part of your team

The best commercial trades are the ones you don't have to think about. We aim to be that trade.

That means quoting off your plans without holding things up, slotting into your program without needing constant updates and delivering to engineer spec without needing the work checked twice.

It means one point of contact through the whole job, with our supervisor on site and direct access to our project manager whenever you need it. And it means the quality side handled before you ever walk it for handover, because we'd rather catch the small stuff ourselves than make you find it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you quote directly off our plans?

Yes, we quote off architectural drawings, engineer's specifications and any tender documents you've got. Send them through with the scope, the fencing or retaining wall sections marked and any constraints we need to know about and we'll come back with a preliminary number off the plans. If anything's unclear, we'll either get on the phone with you or contact the architect or engineer directly to confirm before we quote. We'll always come for a site visit too, but the preliminary quote off the plans gives you something to budget against straight away. For retractable seating, we work off the manufacturer's specifications since the system is engineered before it arrives on site. For larger or staged projects, we can break the quote down by zone or stage to suit how you're costing the program.

Will the quoting hold up our program?

No, our turnaround is built around how commercial programs actually run. We respond to enquiries within a business day, get a preliminary quote off your plans within a few days where we can and book in the site visit at the earliest time that suits you. The formal quote usually lands within a week of the visit, depending on the size of the scope and the engineering involved. If you're working to a tight program, let us know when we first speak and we'll work to that. We've delivered enough commercial work to know the quote is the gateway to the rest of the program and we don't sit on them.

Are you QBCC licensed and insured?

Yes, Synergy is fully licensed under the QBCC and carries public liability, contract works and the relevant project-specific insurances for commercial work. Our current licence covers projects up to a set value, which we can confirm in writing when you first reach out. We're happy to send through the licence number, certificate of currency and any other compliance paperwork your procurement team needs at the quote stage. If your project has specific insurance thresholds or compliance requirements, we'll work with you to make sure we're covered for what you need. For larger or longer-term builds, we can also align our cover with the program timeline. It's standard practice for us, not a check we do once a year and forget about.

Do you sub-contract the work out to other crews?

No, the work stays with our own crew on every commercial job we take on. We've spent years building a team we trust to deliver to spec and we won't put that at risk by sending work out to operators we don't know. Every install is run by our own supervisor, with our project manager checking the job before it's handed over to your team. That means consistent quality, consistent communication and no surprises about who's on your site. If we ever did need to bring in a specialist for a one-off requirement, we'd run it past you first and they'd work under our supervision and accountability. It's not how we want to run jobs, but we'd be straight with you if it ever came up.

Do you work to engineer specifications?

Yes, every retaining wall and structural element we build is delivered to the engineer's table, with the documentation to prove it. We coordinate directly with your engineer on hole depth, post spacing, materials and any sign-off requirements during the dig. We document every stage with photos, including the holes, the engineer's inspection, the posts going in, the drainage and the backfill. If something on site doesn't match what the engineer specified, we stop, contact the engineer and resolve it before we move on. Same goes for the fencing side, where compliance with the spec drives material selection, post spacing and the rest. The paperwork side is just as important as the build and we'll provide whatever's needed for your records.

Will I have one point of contact through the job?

Yes, one person at Synergy handles the project from quote through to handover, working directly with your project manager. That person coordinates the rest of our team, including the supervisor on site and the installers, so you're not chasing different people for different answers. Our supervisor also walks the site before install to confirm nothing has changed since quoting, which closes the gap between quoting and starting where things often slip. If you need to escalate something at any point, our project manager is one phone call away. We've kept this structure deliberately, because it's how the best commercial relationships actually work.

Do you have white cards, blue cards and other site credentials?

Yes, all of our installers carry current white cards and the broader safety credentials needed for commercial sites. For projects involving schools, childcare or other environments where it's required, our team also holds blue cards (Working with Children Check). We can supply copies of every team member's credentials before the install starts and we'll comply with any additional site-specific inductions, SWMS requirements or safety briefings your project demands. We treat the safety side of the work the same as the build itself, with no shortcuts and no surprises. If your project has specific PPE or behavioural requirements, those are factored in from quoting through to handover. It's part of being a contractor you can put on site without thinking twice.

Do you install retractable seating?

Yes, we install retractable seating for schools, stadiums and event venues across Queensland and beyond. The system itself is engineered and manufactured in Japan, then shipped to site in containers ready for assembly on the ground. We're trusted with this work because one of our team is among the best in Australia at it, having worked extensively with retractable seating before joining Synergy. We're currently part of the supply chain for retractable seating across Queensland. The work is precise assembly rather than welding or fabrication, with every component installed exactly to the manufacturer's spec. If you've got a project that needs retractable or stacked seating installed, get in touch with the scope and we'll talk through what's involved.

What other services do you offer beyond commercial fencing, retaining walls and retractable seating?

Quite a few. Beyond the core commercial trio, we can take on concrete works including driveways, slabs, structural pours, footings and pathways, alongside drainage, block walls, rendering, painting, tiling, screening, slat fencing, turfing and commercial landscaping where it forms part of a larger scope. If it's part of the perimeter, the prep work, the structural side or the finish of a commercial site, there's a good chance we can handle it under the same quote and project manager. The biggest advantage on the commercial side is keeping everything within one team and one schedule, rather than coordinating multiple trades for parts of the same site. We'll work directly off your plans, scope and tender documents to confirm what's in our remit. The earlier we can review the full scope, the better we can sequence our work alongside the rest of the program.

Can you take on commercial-scale concrete works and structural finishing?

Yes, both. Commercial concrete works including driveways, slabs, structural pours, footings and pathways are part of what we offer, alongside the drainage, block walls and rendering that often go with them. These often run alongside our fencing or retaining wall scope on the same project, with the dig, drainage, concrete and finishes sequenced to suit the rest of the program. We work directly to engineer specifications and council requirements, with photo documentation at every stage from prep through to backfill. For drainage specifically, we'd much rather sort it properly upfront than have it become a problem after handover, so we'll always raise drainage considerations at quote stage if they're relevant to the build. We can also coordinate with the other trades on site to time pours and excavations around the rest of the program.

Do you do commercial painting and rendering?

Yes, both painting and rendering are part of what we offer at a commercial scale, either as standalone scopes or as part of larger commercial builds. Painting covers internal jobs, external repaints, fence painting and the right stains and protective coats for new timber installs. Rendering pairs well with block walls, retaining walls and new structural builds, giving them a clean finish that holds up to commercial wear and weather. We work to whatever finish, colour or material specification your project calls for, with samples available where they help the design team or client visualise the result. The order of works matters here too, since painting and rendering usually go in towards the end of the program, and we'll factor timing into the quote upfront. Same crew, same care, same standard across the project, so the finish at handover holds up the way it should.

Can you handle the grounds and landscaping side of a commercial site?

Yes, for commercial developments where landscape and grounds work forms part of the project, we can take it on. The scope typically includes turfing, drainage, garden beds, screening, slat fencing, paving and the practical works that finish a site to handover standard. These projects often run alongside fencing and retaining wall builds on the same site, with the order of works planned out so trades aren't waiting on each other. We can quote off your plans and landscape architect's drawings, working to whatever specification your project calls for. For commercial sites with public-facing areas like schools, retail or office developments, we factor in the additional requirements around durability, safety compliance and ongoing maintenance considerations. If you've got a project where the grounds need to be tied into the broader build, mention it when you first reach out.
