Why your gate should come from the same team as your fence

A gate is the part of the fence you touch every day, and the first thing to fail when it's an afterthought. We build it as part of the fence — same material, same standard — so it lines up, swings clean and doesn't drop.

The gates we build

Single & double swing gates

The everyday choice — a single gate for paths and side access, double gates for wide openings and driveways.

Sliding gates

For tight blocks, sloping ground or a driveway you want kept fully clear — no swing arc needed.

Colorbond gates

Colour-matched steel gates that finish a Colorbond fence — same panels, same colour, no gaps.

Timber gates

Hardwood and treated pine gates, framed and braced to hang straight and match a paling or timber fence.

Security gates

Commercial-grade security and access gates for yards, compounds and car parks — built tough and set up for locks or automation.

Chain wire gates

Chain wire and mesh gates for commercial sites, schools and fenced compounds — practical, hard-wearing and cost-effective.

And much, much more — PVC, aluminium, spear-top and every other type of gate. If it opens, closes or locks, we build it. We do the lot.

What a gate typically costs in Brisbane

As a broad guide, a supplied-and-installed gate typically ranges from around $600 to $3,000+, depending on whether it's single, double or sliding, the material, the height and whether you add automation. Heavier double and sliding gates and motorised setups sit at the top. The only way to know your number is a proper measure and quote — and ours is free.

Figures are general market ranges for guidance only, not a quote.

The Synergy difference — it’s in what you don’t see

Anyone can hang a gate. Whether it still swings true and latches cleanly in ten years comes down to the part you never see: how the gate posts are footed, how it's braced against sag, and the hinges and hardware behind it. That's the work we take pride in — we're built for what’s behind the line.

Common questions about gates

Can you match a gate to my existing fence?

Usually, yes. For Colorbond we match the colour and panel; for timber we match the profile and height. On an older fence we'll get as close as the current range allows and make the gate look intentional.

Swing gate or sliding gate — which do I need?

Swing gates suit most yards and are the simplest and cheapest. A sliding gate is the answer when there's no room to swing, the ground slopes, or you want a driveway kept fully clear. We'll advise on site.

Can the gate be automated?

Yes. We can fit a motor, keypad, intercom or remote — or set the gate up now and add automation later, with the wiring and clearances planned in from the start.

How wide can a gate be?

Single gates suit paths and side access; double or sliding gates cover driveways and wide openings. Wider spans get heavier posts and bracing, sized to the opening.

Do you do gates for commercial and government sites?

Yes — access, driveway and security gates for builders, council and Department of Housing work, fully licensed, insured and compliant. Ask us about your site.
