Bayside fencing built to handle salt air: Colorbond, timber, picket and pool fencing, plus retaining walls for Sandgate homes.

Sandgate sits right on Bramble Bay, and that coastal air is the first thing we think about when we quote here. Salt speeds up corrosion on steel fittings and fixings, so for homes close to the water we'll talk you through coastal-grade Colorbond options and stainless or galvanised fixings that will last.
Timber also needs a bit more care by the water. We use properly treated pine or hardwood and recommend a good oil or stain to protect it from the weather.
Sandgate has plenty of older Queenslanders and character homes. A timber picket front fence often suits these streets better than steel, and it's one of our favourite jobs. If your home is in a character area, there may be council rules on front fence height and style. We'll check this with you before you commit.
Some parts of Sandgate are low-lying. Where water pools after heavy rain, we set posts deeper, keep the bottom of the fence clear of the ground where possible, and make sure any retaining wall has proper drainage behind it.
