Built for hilly ground

Tarragindi is hilly, with Toohey Forest on its doorstep and plenty of blocks that fall away from the street. On ground like this, a retaining wall is often the first job, and the fence comes second.

Most retaining wall failures we see come down to two things: poor drainage behind the wall and footings that weren't deep enough. We build every wall with proper drainage aggregate and an ag pipe behind it, and footings sized for the height and the load above.

Engineering and approvals

In Queensland, retaining walls over 1 metre, or walls carrying extra load such as a driveway, a fence or a building nearby, generally need engineering and approval. We'll tell you at the quote whether yours does, and organise it if needed.

Fences on top of walls

If you want a fence on top of a retaining wall, it needs to be planned with the wall, not added later. We design the two together so the fence posts have the support they need and the wall isn't overloaded.
