Height, style, gates and what makes a fence hard to climb. A practical guide to securing a business, yard or depot.

In this post:
A security fence has one job: make it hard enough to get in that people don't bother. Most break-ins happen where it's easy, quiet and out of sight. A good fence changes all three.
A strong fence with a flimsy gate isn't a strong fence. Gates need solid posts, quality hinges that can't be lifted off, and a lock that can't be reached from outside. For vehicle access, sliding gates with a motor and remote are often the best option.
Taller fences, especially over 2 m, may need council approval. Some areas also have rules about how fences look from the street. We'll check these with you.
We install steel spear-top security fencing and gates for businesses, yards, strata complexes and homes. We'll look at your site, how people could get in, and recommend a height and style that suits your budget.
Steel spear-top fencing is a common choice. It's hard to climb, see-through and long-wearing.
Often 1.8 m or higher. Yards and depots may go to 2.4 m, which may need council approval.
