The job is done. The final invoice is paid. Everyone shakes hands.

Then, a few months later, a gate starts dragging. A panel works loose. You call the contractor.

And nobody answers.

This is a story I saw over and over in reviews. Plenty of contractors are keen before they're paid. Far fewer are keen after.

Why after-service matters

A fence lives outside in Queensland weather. Heat, storms and shifting soil all play a part.

Even a well-built fence can need a small adjustment now and then. What matters is whether the person who built it will stand behind their work.

Questions to ask before you hire

1. What happens if something isn't right after you've finished?
2. How do I get in touch with you once the job is done?
3. What's covered by your workmanship, and what isn't?
4. Can I speak to a past customer?

Get the answers in writing if you can.

Our name is on every fence we build. If something we've done isn't right, we want to know, and we'll come back.

Not every problem is a workmanship issue. Storm damage, for example, is usually an insurance matter. But we'll always take your call and tell you honestly what's going on.
