Rust on a new fence is a warning sign. Here's where it usually starts, and what a good contractor does about it.

A new steel fence shouldn't rust. So when it does, it's worrying.
One review described a large boundary fence job where posts had been cut with a grinder. The cut ends started rusting, and the sharp edges were left unfinished. The homeowner even cut their arm on one. When they asked for help under warranty, management didn't respond.
Take photos and contact your installer early. Small issues are much easier to fix before they spread.
We take care with cuts, clean up properly, and if something we've installed isn't right, we want to hear about it.
