Delays happen. Endless excuses shouldn't. Here's how to tell the difference, and what a reliable contractor does when plans change.

You booked the job. You told the family. Maybe you even took a day off work.
Then the call comes. Or worse, it doesn't. The crew isn't coming today. Next week, they say. Then next week turns into next month.
When I read reviews of fencing companies around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, this is one of the most common complaints. People don't just mention delays. They use the same words again and again. "Excuse after excuse."
I'll be honest with you. Not every delay is a red flag.
You can't set posts properly in a bog after three days of rain. Materials sometimes arrive late. A crew might hit rock or an underground service that needs to be dealt with properly.
Those things happen to every good contractor. What matters is how they're handled.
A delay comes with a reason, a new date and a phone call before you have to ask.
An excuse comes when you chase them. It's vague. The new date keeps moving. And it often turns up after you've already paid a deposit.
If you're being told a different story every time you call, trust your gut.
A good contractor will answer these without flinching.
When we give you a start date, it's a real one. If weather or anything else gets in the way, we'll call you, explain why, and give you a new date. You won't be left refreshing your phone.
We'd rather give you an honest date that's a little later than a hopeful one we can't keep.
