If you've paid for materials, you're entitled to ask where they are. Here's why proof of ordering matters.

You paid a deposit "for materials". Weeks pass. Nothing arrives.
So you ask for receipts to show the materials were actually ordered. The contractor says they'll send them. They never do.
That's exactly what one family described in a review. And it's a big warning sign.
If a contractor has genuinely ordered your materials, showing you proof is easy. When they can't, or won't, it raises the question of where your money has gone.
You'll get an invoice for every payment, and if you want to know where your job is at, just ask. Being open about it costs us nothing.
