Who's Coming Onto My Property?

Getting a fence built means letting people you don't know into your yard. Sometimes for days.

For a lot of families, that's a real concern. Especially if you have kids at home, work from home, or will be out while the crew is there.

It's a fair question to ask

Some fencing companies now advertise that their staff are background checked. That tells you how much homeowners care about this.

You have every right to know who's coming.

Questions worth asking

1. Who will be working at my property?
2. Are they your own staff or subcontractors?
3. Will someone let me know when they arrive and leave?
4. Who do I contact if I'm not comfortable with something?

Simple things that help

• Lock away valuables and secure side access you don't need open.
• Agree on which gates and areas the crew can use.
• Keep pets secured inside.
